CityCraft: A Real Crafter for 3D City Generation [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
City scene generation has gained significant attention in autonomous driving, smart city development, and traffic simulation. It helps enhance infrastructure planning and monitoring solutions. Existing methods have employed a two-stage process involving city layout generation, typically using Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), Generative Adversarial ...

Non‐Invasive Tumor Budding Evaluation and Correlation with Treatment Response in Bladder Cancer: A Multi‐Center Cohort Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study introduces a deep learning model that predicts tumor budding (TB) status in bladder cancer through the analysis of CT images. The model effectively identifies patients with high TB status, correlating with poorer prognosis and reduced responsiveness to neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy. This tool offers significant potential to inform prognosis

Engineering Light‐Element Modified LaFe11.6Si1.4 Compounds Enables Tunable Giant Magnetocaloric Effect

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Herein, a tunable magnetocaloric effect is achieved on a series of light elements (C, F, S) modified LaFe11.6Si1.4 compounds. It is found that interstitial doping is more efficient in shifting TC compared with mixed (substitutional/interstitial) doping, but the first‐order transition cannot be well kept because of different p–d hybridization.

He tokotoko mo nga tangata : a thesis presented in partial fulfilment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Philosophy in Regional and Environmental Planning at Massey University [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
THE PROBLEM Urban river corridor areas are often subject to damaging use and to increasing pressure from conflicting uses. The main issue is the need to utilise the characteristics of a river and its margins within a city while integrating it into the ...

An Engineered PfAgo with Wide Catalytic Temperature Range and Substrate Spectrum

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a strategy for engineering thermophilic Ago proteins to obtain wide catalytic temperature range and broad substrate spectrum. This strategy is applied to engineer PfAgo and TtdAgo, and the biochemical properties of the engineered PfAgo are systematically characterized. The study further elucidates the structural differences involved.

New Insights into Heavy Metal Sequestration Through Metal‐Phenolic Network‐Confined Nano‐HFO: Overlooking Iron Utilization and Modulating Electron Density

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Iron‐based nanocomposites are widely used for trace heavy metal removal, but the low utilization of HFO nanoparticles remains a challenge. Here, a metal‐phenolic network (MPN) strategy is proposed to confine nano‐HFO within polystyrene beads, creating a negative electrostatic field and optimizing electron density at oxygen sites. This approach enhances
