A civil aircraft passenger deplaning model considering patients with severe acute airborne disease
Journal of Transportation Safety & Security, 2021The virus 2019-nCoV rapidly crossed the globe in the first quarter of 2020, and the global civil aviation industry contributed to the spread of the virus.

Radiation exposure measurement onboard civil aircraft
Radiation Protection Dosimetry, 2005The active dosemeter DOSTEL based on two silicon planar detectors was flown on civil aircraft flights to study the radiation exposure of air crew members. The altitude and latitude dependence of count and dose rates as well as long-term variations are measured.

Civil Tiltrotor Aircraft Operations
11th AIAA Aviation Technology, Integration, and Operations (ATIO) Conference, 2011The goal of the current study is to investigate the benefits and challenges of operating a notional fleet of civil tiltrotor aircraft (10-, 30-, 90-, and 120-passenger vehicles), in the commercial transport role, in the projected Next Generation airspace system.

Automatic Aircraft Collisions Algorithm Development for Civil Aircraft
2020 10th International Conference on Advanced Computer Information Technologies (ACIT), 2020This study provides significant contributions to solve a problem of worldwide utmost interest: Collision Detection and Resolution CDR, due to the constant increase in air traffic. Based on the geometry equations exposed in this paper, numerical simulations for UAV’s within 3D space have been carried on and a detailed analysis of TCAS operating around ...

TO provide increased ATC capacity to meet the 50% and 70% increase in air transport movements forecast by 2005, considerable attention is being focussed on automatic data exchange between aircraft and ground facilities. For various reasons the development of standards and procedures of the necessary integrity and the planning of implementation will ...

Automation in civil transport aircraft
Applied Ergonomics, 1977The pilot of a contemporary transport aircraft is in a managerial role, supervising the performance of sophisticated systems which perform most of the tasks concerned with operating the aircraft safely and efficiently. Under normal conditions he is required to exercise his psycho-motor skills only to a very small extent; his principal task is to ...

When I was asked to give this lecture on Civil Flight Testing, I considered in what way any of my experience might be of general help to the Industry. The tests which A. and A.E.E. make on civil aircraft are at the moment of three kinds: —(a)Tests to prove compliance with Air Registration Board requirements for a Certificate of Airworthiness.(b ...

In the recent years, aviation is facing with the increasing of fuel price and flights, and the impact is estimated to grow more and more in next years without any action. To reduce its environmental footprint, engineers are trying to design more efficient aircraft, with engines less consuming.

Measurements of radiation exposure in civil aircraft
Acta Astronautica, 1998The radiation exposures on 12 flights of German airlines were measured with an active dosemeter based on two silicon semiconductors. The dependence on the date, altitude and route of the flights was studied. Measured dose rates and preliminary dose equivalent rates of the individual flights are given and compared with model calculations.
