ABSTRACT Objective To determine whether myelin‐sensitive quantitative MRI reveals microstructural abnormalities in normal‐appearing cortex (NACtx) in myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), indicating that conventional MRI underestimates remission residual cortical injury.

Coordinated Architectural and Chemical Reinforcement in the Crushing Mandible of a Soldier Termite

The crushing mandible of a soldier termite withstands substantial biting loads despite lacking mineral. Its cuticle is partitioned: convex teeth pair hardness and zinc enrichment with aligned chitin fibers for contact durability, while stiffer concave regions between teeth carry bending loads.

Plant‐based nanomaterials derived from alfalfa serve as dual‐function catalysts, coupling photodegradation and phytoremediation to degrade polyethylene under UV‐A light and in soil. The nanomaterials work synergistically with alfalfa and soil microbes, achieving efficient plastic breakdown without trophic transfer.
