Topics in Cubic Special Geometry
We reconsider the sub-leading quantum perturbative corrections to N=2 cubic special Kaehler geometries. Imposing the invariance under axion-shifts, all such corrections (but the imaginary constant one) can be introduced or removed through suitable, lower

Reverse isoperimetric inequalities for Lagrangian intersection Floer theory
Abstract We extend Groman and Solomon's reverse isoperimetric inequality to pseudoholomorphic curves with punctures at the boundary and whose boundary components lie in a collection of Lagrangian submanifolds with intersections locally modelled on Rn∩(Rk×−1Rn−k)$\mathbb {R}^n\cap (\mathbb {R}^{k}\times \sqrt {-1}\mathbb {R}^{n-k})$ inside Cn$\mathbb {C}

Real space renormalization group approach to the 2d antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model
The low energy behaviour of the 2d antiferromagnetic Heisenberg model is studied in the sector with total spins $S=0,1,2$ by means of a renormalization group procedure, which generates a recursion formula for the interaction matrix $\Delta_S^{(n+1)}$ of ...

Sequential Search with Incompletely Informed Consumers: Theory and Evidence from Retail Gasoline Markets [PDF]
A large variety of markets, such as retail markets for gasoline or mortgage markets, are characterized by a small number of firms offering a fairly homogenous product at virtually the same cost, while consumers, being uninformed about this cost ...

Entanglement and Density Matrix of a Block of Spins in AKLT Model
We study a 1-dimensional AKLT spin chain, consisting of spins $S$ in the bulk and $S/2$ at both ends. The unique ground state of this AKLT model is described by the Valence-Bond-Solid (VBS) state.

Re‐wetting drained peat for Typha paludiculture provides a productive, low‐emission land use that can support diverse bird communities. Across 28 sites in the Netherlands, breeding bird abundance in paludiculture was comparable to that in natural wetlands and more than three times higher than in improved grasslands.

Dynamic Policies for Cooperative Networked Systems
A set of economic entities embedded in a network graph collaborate by opportunistically exchanging their resources to satisfy their dynamically generated needs. Under what conditions their collaboration leads to a sustainable economy? Which online policy

A semi-analytical approach to Canary swaptions in HJM one-factor model [PDF]
Leveraging the explicit formula for European swaptions and coupon-bond options in HJM one-factor model, we develop a semi-explicit formula for 2-Bermudan options (also called Canary options). We first extend the European swaption formula to future times.

Capture in Financial Regulation: Can We Redirect It Toward the Common Good? [PDF]
“Regulatory capture” is central to regulatory analysis yet is a troublesome concept. It is difficult to prove and sometimes seems refuted by outcomes unfavorable to powerful interests.
