Alliance Between Conifer Trees and Endophytic Fungi Against Insect Defoliators

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 48, Issue 7, Page 5236-5249, July 2025.
ABSTRACT Fungal endophytes can alter plant resistance against herbivores by indirectly influencing plant secondary metabolism or through direct effects of their own metabolism. However, the role of fungal endophytes in conifer defences to insect herbivores remains largely unknown.

STUDY OF THERMAL INACTIVATION CLADOSPORIUM CLADOSPORIOIDES α-GALACTOSIDASE

open access: yesMicrobiology&Biotechnology, 2010
Thermostability of Cladosporium cladosporioides of α-galactosidase was studied in the range of 55 °С and 60 °С. Some of the thermodynamic parameters have been estimated and the mechanism of thermal inactivation has been suggested. Activation energy of transition α-galactosidase subunit from native to denatured state was 165 kJ/M.

Mycobiome of the Bat White Nose Syndrome (WNS) Affected Caves and Mines reveals High Diversity of Fungi and Local Adaptation by the Fungal Pathogen Pseudogymnoascus (Geomyces) destructans

open access: yes, 2014
The investigations of the bat White Nose Syndrome (WNS) have yet to provide answers as to how the causative fungus Pseudogymnoascus (Geomyces) destructans (Pd) first appeared in the Northeast and how a single clone has spread rapidly in the US and Canada.
