Class-AB CMOS buffer with floating class-AB control

2011 9th IEEE International Conference on ASIC, 2011
A novel high performance class-AB voltage buffer is presented. The proposed approach introduces floating class-AB control technique on the basis of a class-A super follower topology to realize class-AB operation. The circuit is biased by two translinear loops which provide power-supply-independent quiescent currents.

Efficient Broadband Class AB Amplifier

2019 IEEE 62nd International Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems (MWSCAS), 2019
In this paper, feed-forward and class AB techniques are explored for the design of high-frequency Operational Transconductance Amplifiers (OTA) suitable for ADC architectures. The paper is focused on high gain broadband amplifiers; the first part of the paper revisited the recycling folded-cascode (RFC) architectures.

Class-AB Fully Differential Voltage Followers

IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II: Express Briefs, 2007
Two fully differential class AB voltage followers with essentially enhanced slew rate are introduced. One is based on the cross-quad cell. The second is based on the conventional voltage follower. Class AB operation with accurate control of the quiescent current and extended bandwidth is achieved in both cases with minimal additional circuitry, zero ...

CMOS class AB single-to-differential transconductor

Proceedings of the 2005 European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design, 2005., 2006
A rail-to-rail CMOS class AB transconductor, which exhibits a high drive capability and good linearity is presented. Thanks to an auxiliary feedback loop, the solution is able to convert a single-ended input into a balanced differential output. Simulations on a 0.35 /spl mu/m design powered with 2V are provided.

Guidelines for designing class-AB output stages

Proceedings of the 2005 European Conference on Circuit Theory and Design, 2005., 2006
In this communication an approach for analyzing and designing low-power CMOS output stages is proposed. The analysis is carried out by taking into account output stage performance parameters which also affect main characteristics of the overall amplifier.

A simple class-AB transconductor in CMOS

2008 IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS), 2008
In this paper, we present a simple class-AB CMOS transconductor, which is based on Delbriick's bump/antibump circuit, whose differential output current is an expansive nonlinear function of its differential-mode input voltage. We describe the operation of the new transconductor qualitatively and derive an analytical model of its output currents from ...

A class AB current comparator

Proceedings of 40th Midwest Symposium on Circuits and Systems. Dedicated to the Memory of Professor Mac Van Valkenburg, 2002
A class AB current comparator suitable for sampled-data systems is presented. The comparator has a low and well-controlled current consumption. Because of class AB operation, a high input swing and a high dynamic range are obtained. Positive feedback has been used to reach a high speed.
