Tumor‐stromal crosstalk and macrophage enrichment are associated with chemotherapy response in bladder cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Theoretical Model of EphA2-Ephrin A1 Inhibition

open access: yesMolecules, 2018
This work aims at the theoretical description of EphA2-ephrin A1 inhibition by small molecules. Recently proposed ab initio-based scoring models, comprising long-range components of interaction energy, is tested on lithocholic acid class inhibitors of ...

Prediction Model for Etiologic Differentiation of Isolated Vestibular Syndrome in Emergency Settings

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to develop and validate a predictive model for differentiating central from peripheral etiologies in patients with isolated vestibular syndrome (VS). Methods In this multicenter retrospective cohort study, 506 patients with isolated VS from five hospitals were divided into derivation (n = 301) and validation (n = 205)

A Design Approach to Maximize the Efficiency vs. Linearity Trade-Off in Fixed and Modulated Load GaN Power Amplifiers

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
This paper proposes a design method to minimize the phase distortion (AM/PM) in gallium nitride (GaN) power amplifiers (PAs) without significantly worsening other key features such as efficiency, amplitude distortion, and gain.

Impact of APOE ε4 Genotype Load on Cognitive Function and Lipid Metabolism in Patients With Cerebral Small Vessel Disease

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Apolipoprotein ε4 (APOE ε4) is a potent genetic risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD). However, its role in cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) remains unclear. Given the clinical and pathological similarities between CSVD and AD, this study aimed to investigate the associations of APOE ε4 gene dosage with cognitive function and

0.7 V Supply SC Circuits with Relaxed Slew Rate Requirements Using GB-Enhanced Multiple-Output Class AB/AB Op-Amps

open access: yesJournal of Low Power Electronics and Applications
A family of improved low-voltage switched-capacitor circuits is introduced. It is based on the utilization of multiple-output class AB/AB op-amp architectures that provide true sample and hold outputs that are not subject to a reset phase as with ...

Compact low-voltage class-AB analogue buffer

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2006
A new, simple, low-voltage class-AB unity-gain buffer is presented. The proposed approach combines use of floating-gate transistors with the flipped voltage follower to create a compact topology. Experimental results are provided that prove the proposed approach.

The Relationship Between Inflammation and Central Nervous System in Multiple Sclerosis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim Multiple sclerosis is an autoimmune demyelination disease that is seen especially in the young population and has a progressive course, causing motor, sensory, and cognitive deficits. In the literature, the pathogenesis of MS disease and the interconnection between the immune and central nervous system in the disease have not been fully ...
