Class numbers and quadratic residues
It has long been known that there is a strong connection between the class numbers of quadratic fields and the distribution of quadratic residues. This connection is exemplified, for instance, by the class number formulae of Dirichlet, which have formed ...

Some General Theorems About a Class of Sets of Numbers
We prove a theorem which unifies some formulas, for example the counting function, of some sets of numbers including all positive integers, h-free numbers, h-full numbers, etc.

Fibonacci and Telephone Numbers in Extremal Trees
In this paper we shall show applications of the Fibonacci numbers in edge-coloured trees. In particular we determine the successive extremal graphs in the class of trees with respect to the number of (A, 2B)-edge colourings.

ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

ABSTRACT Introduction Peritoneal dialysis (PD) is an established home‐based kidney replacement therapy (KRT), but its uptake remains low in Japan. We evaluated whether individualized education in a dedicated outpatient clinic was associated with the initiation of PD.

A combinatorial class number formula.
Let R be a Dedekind ring with quotient field K and let A be a central simple K-algebra. Let \(\Lambda\) be an R-order in A and let \(\Lambda_ 1=\Lambda,\Lambda_ 2,...,\Lambda_ t\) represent all isomorphism classes in the genus of \(\Lambda\). Let S be an R-order in a commutative separable K-algebra L.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Characterization of a class of functions using divided differences
We determine the class of functions, the divided difference of which, at n distinct numbers, is a continuous function of the product of these numbers.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
