A Class of Association Schemes and Their Automorphisms

Algebra Colloquium, 2022
In this paper, we construct a class of association schemes by using pairs of subspaces of vector spaces and determine their full automorphism groups.

Unlabeled Compression Schemes for Maximum Classes

2005
Maximum concept classes of VC dimension d over n domain points have size n C ≤d, and this is an upper bound on the size of any concept class of VC dimension d over n points. We give a compression scheme for any maximum class that represents each concept by a subset of up to d unlabeled domain points and has the property that for any sample of a concept

A numerical scheme for a class of sweeping processes

Numerische Mathematik, 2010
The paper deals with a special class of differential inclusions related to perturbed sweeping processes by uniformly prox-regular sets. In the first main part of the paper, the author provides sufficient conditions for the corresponding initial value problems to be well posed in the usual analytical sense.

A Class of Prefetch Schemes for On-Chip Data Caches

[1992] Proceedings the 19th Annual International Symposium on Computer Architecture, 1992
We introduce and evaluate a class of prefetch schemes for on-chip data caches in high-performance RISC processors. These schemes are conservative, initiating a prefetch only when a sequential pattern of references have been observed. Performance results based on traces of five programs in the SPEC suite on an IBM RS/6000 show that these schemes result ...

Classes of stable schemes

USSR Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, 1967
Abstract IN [1] where the regularization method has been discussed, we made use of theorems on the sufficient stability conditions, and on the a priori estimates for two-layer and three-layer schemes. In the present paper we shall give the proofs of these theorems.

A class of monotone interpolation schemes

Journal of Computational Physics, 1992
Assume that a sufficiently continuous field \(\psi:\mathbb{R}^ M\to\mathbb{R}^ 1\) is known a priori in points \(x_ i\) of a uniform mesh in \(\mathbb{R}^ M\). To interpolate \(\psi\) in a point \(x_ 0\) different from \(x_ i\), Stokes' theorem is involved to get \[ \psi(x_ 0)-\psi(x_ i)=\int_ C dx\circ\nabla\psi(x).\tag{1} \] Choosing as contour \(C\)

On a class of schemes for a parabolic equation

USSR Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, 1975
Abstract ECONOMIC schemes for a parabolic equation with discontinuous coefficients are constructed and studied for the case of a boundary condition of the 1st kind, an arbitrary domain, and an arbitrary line of discontinuity of the coefficients.

A new class of compact schemes

36th AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit, 1998
A new class of compact schemes are derived that obtain high-order accuracy while using a very small stencil size. These schemes are shown to be equivalent to standard high-order compact schemes. These new schemes reduce the computational effort while offering easier boundary stencil specification than the existing schemes.

Women in the Social Class Scheme

1992
Until fairly recently, the standard practice in official uses of the SCS has been to assign women a social class according to the occupation of the ‘head of the household’ in which the women live. For practical purposes, this has meant that the social class of married women has been assigned on the basis of their husband’s occupation.

A Class of Imprimitive Association Schemes

Communications in Algebra, 2016
From Burnside's pαqβ-Theorem, it follows that any nonabelian group of order pαqβ, where p and q are primes, cannot be simple. As a main result of this article, we state and prove an analog of the mentioned theorem for commutative association schemes.
