American Journal of Orthopsychiatry, 1964This study examines the relationship between the incidence of schizophrenia and social class in two culturally contrasting subcommunities in Detroit. The study focused on (1) whether the incidence rates of schizophrenia vary inversely with the class structure and (2) the relationship of incidence to vertical mobility.
