An ab initio electromagnetic framework links quasinormal modes to Fano resonances in extinction spectra. Analytical expressions for the Fano asymmetry and intensity parameters are derived from overlap integrals, enabling rapid spectral reconstruction and physical interpretation.

Reciprocal Quantum Electrodynamics With Bound States in the Continuum
Quantum electrodynamics accurately describes all known forms of modern optics and photonics regarding interactions between photons and matter. In this context, bound states in the continuum with photon confinement in momentum space are envisioned to open an exciting branch called reciprocal quantum electrodynamics. It complements the cavity counterpart

The expression for the total angular momentum carried by a laser optical vortex beam, splits, in the paraxial approximation, into two terms which seem to represent orbital and spin angular momentum respectively.

Sub-classical fields and polarization in electrodynamics
Expectation values of the electromagnetic field and the electric current are introduced at space-time resolution which belongs to the quantum domain. These allow us to approach some key features of classical electrodynamics from the underlying QED.

Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Classical electrodynamics in a space with spin noncommutativity of coordinates
We propose a relativistic Lorentz-invariant spin-noncommutative algebra. Using the Weyl ordering of noncommutative position operators, we find a mapping from a space of commutative functions into space of noncommutative functions.

Drivers of Mid‐Latitude Quiet‐Time Longitude Variations in Ionospheric Density
Abstract The aim of this study is to provide an observational benchmark of mid‐latitude quiet‐time variability in winds, O/N2, and TEC across longitude and local time to provide a foundation for future model–data comparison studies. The quiet‐time ionospheric structure is not uniform but rather exhibits pronounced longitudinal and local‐time ...

Magnetic Signatures of a Plasma Wake Behind the Swarm Satellites
Abstract This study provides first observational evidence of a plasma wake behind ESA's Swarm satellites, manifesting itself by a brief magnetic field strength spike and bipolar field variations in transverse direction. These magnetic signatures occur only near the dip‐equator where the magnetic declination is close to zero.
