Single‐Cell Sequencing‐Guided Annotation of Rare Tumor Cells for Deep Learning‐Based Cytopathologic Diagnosis of Early Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents an innovative method to generate high‐quality, objectively annotated cytology datasets without relying on expert involvement. Large‐scale single‐cell DNA sequencing is used as an objective ground truth of cell annotation for generating an accurate, unbiased dataset of exfoliated tumor cells from bronchoalveolar lavage cytology ...

Updated Insights Into the Mechanism of Salt‐Induced Aggregation‐Based Single‐Molecule Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A salt‐gradient model is proposed to investigate the physical nature and update insights into the single molecule surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SM‐SERS). The release of Ag+ ions from the Ag NPs and the final formation of precipitate of AgCl with Cl‐ on the surface of the aggregated Ag NPs plays as the active and packaging shell to improve the SM‐

Surface‐Engineered Cenospheres Encapsulating Phase Change Materials for Functional Cementitious Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The global energy demand drives the need for advanced energy‐efficient building solutions. While current polymeric‐shell microencapsulated PCMs show promise for thermal energy storage, their use in cementitious materials is challenged by poor shell strength and interfacial bonding. This study develops novel cement‐compatible microencapsulated PCM using

Explicit P1 Finite Element Solution of the Maxwell-Wave Equation Coupling Problem with Absorbing b. c.

open access: yesMathematics
In this paper, we address the approximation of the coupling problem for the wave equation and Maxwell’s equations of electromagnetism in the time domain in terms of electric field by means of a nodal linear finite element discretization in space ...

On the Electromagnetic Mass Dilemma [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We show that a charged sphere moving at a constant velocity $v$ exhibits a mass due to electromagnetic radiation, expressed as $4/(3+(v/c)^2) (E/c^2)$, where $E$ is the electromagnetic energy and $c$ the speed of light in vacuum. Our finding reconciles the longstanding mismatch between the electromagnetic mass calculated from the classical ...

A Complex Hilbert Space for Classical Electromagnetic Potentials [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
We demonstrate the existence of a complex Hilbert Space with Hermitian operators for calculations in classical electromagnetism. This approach lets us derive a variety of fundamental expressions for electromagnetism using minimal mathematics and a calculation sequence well-known for traditional quantum mechanics.
