ALOX15 links lipid metabolism to receptor trafficking in platelet activation

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
This schematic summarizes known and newly identified mechanisms of thrombin‐mediated platelet activation. In addition to classical thrombin‐induced PAR4 signaling pathways, thrombin activates an ALOX15–HETE–PKCθ–NMT1 signaling cascade that promotes protein myristoylation, facilitates receptor trafficking, and enhances PAR4 surface expression on ...

Updates and controversies in contemporary grading of clear cell renal cell carcinoma and papillary renal cell carcinoma

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
New concepts, innovations and some issues have emerged since the adoption a decade ago of WHO/ISUP grading for CCRCC and PRCC. Continued use of the WHO/ISUP grading for CCRCC and PRCC has been upheld by newer studies, and practice guidance for some of the grading issues, where data are available, is provided.

Pathological assessment of tumour beds in breast excisions post‐neoadjuvant therapy: a retrospective cohort study

open access: yesHistopathology, EarlyView.
Pathological assessment of post‐neoadjuvant treatment (NAT) breast specimens uses more laboratory resources compared with non‐NAT cases. The highest resource utilization (specimen resampling, number of tissue blocks submitted, pathologist review) occurred when the tumour bed is not grossly identifiable.

Multicenter RCT 6‐Year Survival of Zirconia‐Reinforced Lithium Silicate Endocrowns: 90° Shoulder Versus Butt‐Joint Margins

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objectives Margin design significantly influences endocrown biomechanical performance. Nevertheless, long‐term clinical data comparing margin designs within a singular zirconia‐reinforced lithium silicate (ZLS) system remain scarce. This study reports the 6‐year follow‐up results of a multicenter, prospective, randomized, assessor‐blinded ...
