Nonlocal inverse boundary-value problem for a 2D parabolic equation with integral overdetermination condition

open access: yesKarpatsʹkì Matematičnì Publìkacìï, 2020
This article studies a nonlocal inverse boundary-value problem for a two-dimensional second-order parabolic equation in a rectangular domain. The purpose of the article is to determine the unknown coefficient and the solution of the considered problem ...

Classical Solutions of Hyperbolic Equation with Translation Operators in Free Terms

open access: yesMathematics, 2023
In this paper, we study the question of constructing explicit solutions in a half-space of a hyperbolic equation containing translation operators in space variables in all coordinate directions.

RETRACTED ARTICLE: Extremal surface with the light-like line in Minkowski space R1+(1+1) $R^{1+(1+1)}$

open access: yesBoundary Value Problems, 2017
In this paper, firstly we will give the global construction of the mixed type extremal surface in Minkowski space along the analytic light-like line. Furthermore, we construct simply the local existence of extremal surface along a single light-like line.

Classical Skyrmions—static solutions and dynamics [PDF]

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2012
Atomic nuclei can be modelled by Skyrmions with quantised spin and isospin. Skyrmions with a realistic value of the pion mass parameter should be quite compact structures, but few examples beyond baryon number 8 are known. The largest of these is the cubic Skyrmion with baryon number 32, which is a truncated piece of the Skyrme crystal.

Two-dimensional Quantum-Corrected Eternal Black Hole [PDF]

open access: yes, 1995
The one-loop quantum corrections to geometry and thermodynamics of black hole are studied for the two-dimensional RST model. We chose boundary conditions corresponding to the eternal black hole being in the thermal equilibrium with the Hawking radiation.

The general classical solution of the superparticle

open access: yes, 1994
The theory of vectors and spinors in 9+1 dimensional spacetime is introduced in a completely octonionic formalism based on an octonionic representation of the Clifford algebra $\Cl(9,1)$.

Existence of three solutions for impulsive multi-point boundary value problems [PDF]

open access: yesOpuscula Mathematica, 2017
This paper is devoted to the study of the existence of at least three classical solutions for a second-order multi-point boundary value problem with impulsive effects.

Nonadiabatic Dynamics in Open Quantum-Classical Systems: Forward-Backward Trajectory Solution

open access: yes, 2012
A new approximate solution to the quantum-classical Liouville equation is derived starting from the formal solution of this equation in forward-backward form.

Classical Liouville action on the sphere with three hyperbolic singularities

open access: yes, 2003
The classical solution to the Liouville equation in the case of three hyperbolic singularities of its energy-momentum tensor is derived and analyzed. The recently proposed classical Liouville action is explicitly calculated in this case.

On the Neyman-Pearson problem for law-invariant risk measures and robust utility functionals [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
Motivated by optimal investment problems in mathematical finance, we consider a variational problem of Neyman-Pearson type for law-invariant robust utility functionals and convex risk measures.
