Geometrical Statistics--Classical and Quantum [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Conference Proceedings, 2005
This is a review of the ideas behind the Fisher--Rao metric on classical probability distributions, and how they generalize to metrics on density matrices.

Quantum correlations in classical statistics [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Quantum correlations can be naturally formulated in a classical statistical system of infinitely many degrees of freedom. This realizes the underlying non-commutative structure in a classical statistical setting.

Classical Statistics and Statistical Learning in Imaging Neuroscience [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Neuroscience, 2017
Brain-imaging research has predominantly generated insight by means of classical statistics, including regression-type analyses and null-hypothesis testing using t-test and ANOVA.

Analysis and Allocation of Cancer-Related Genes Using Vague DNA Sequence Data

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2022
To test the equality of several independent multinomial distributions, the chi-square test for count data is applied. The existing test can be applied when complete information about the data is available.

KNN vs. Bluecat—Machine Learning vs. Classical Statistics

open access: yesHydrology, 2022
Uncertainty is inherent in the modelling of any physical processes. Regarding hydrological modelling, the uncertainty has multiple sources including the measurement errors of the stresses (the model inputs), the measurement errors of the hydrological ...

Quantum Approach to Classical Statistical Mechanics [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2007
We present a new approach to study the thermodynamic properties of $d$-dimensional classical systems by reducing the problem to the computation of ground state properties of a $d$-dimensional quantum model. This classical-to-quantum mapping allows us to deal with standard optimization methods, such as simulated and quantum annealing, on an equal basis.

Product evaluation using uncertainty-based process capability index

open access: yesAin Shams Engineering Journal, 2023
This paper introduces a new process capability index (PCI) under neutrosophic statistics. The proposed neutrosophic process capability index (NPCI) can be applied to evaluate the status of the industrial process in the presence of Neutrosophy. A new form

Hidden Quantum Memory: Is Memory There When Somebody Looks? [PDF]

open access: yesQuantum, 2023
In classical physics, memoryless dynamics and Markovian statistics are one and the same. This is not true for quantum dynamics, first and foremost because quantum measurements are invasive.

Design of a Control Chart for Gamma Distributed Variables Under the Indeterminate Environment

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
In this paper, the design of the control chart when the variable of interest follows the gamma distribution under the neutrosophic statistical interval method (NSIM) is proposed.
