The run test for two samples in the presence of uncertainty

open access: yesJournal of Big Data, 2023
The run test, which examines whether two samples selected from the same population are random, has been employed. However, the current run test for two samples is based on the assumption of certainty, which is not always valid in practical scenarios ...

Incidence, Survival and Prevalence Statistics of Classical Myeloproliferative Neoplasm in Korea

open access: yesJournal of Korean medical science, 2016
The nationwide statistical analysis of each disease of classical myeloproliferative neoplasm (MPN) in Korea has not been reported yet. To this end, we have analyzed incidence rates, survival rates and treatment pattern of polycythemia vera (PV), primary ...

Statistical, noise-related non-classicality’s indicator [PDF]

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2009
Abstract Finding signs of the classical-quantum border is a very important task of perennial interest. We show, using semiclassical arguments, that the frontier between the classical and quantum domains can be characterized by recourse to idiosyncratic features of a delimiter parameter associated with the concepts of i) noise) ii) Husimi

Methylation biomarkers can distinguish pleural mesothelioma from healthy pleura and other pleural pathologies

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We developed and validated a DNA methylation–based biomarker panel to distinguish pleural mesothelioma from other pleural conditions. Using the IMPRESS technology, we translated this panel into a clinically applicable assay. The resulting two classifier models demonstrated excellent performance, achieving high AUC values and strong diagnostic accuracy.

Intermittency of Velocity Circulation in Quantum Turbulence

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2021
The velocity circulation, a measure of the rotation of a fluid within a closed path, is a fundamental observable in classical and quantum flows. It is indeed a Lagrangian invariant in inviscid classical fluids. In quantum flows, circulation is quantized,

Correlations in a system of classical--like coins simulating spin-1/2 states in the probability representation of quantum mechanics

open access: yes, 2019
An analog of classical "hidden variables" for qubit states is presented. The states of qubit (two-level atom, spin-1/2 particle) are mapped onto the states of three classical--like coins.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Simulating chi-square data through algorithms in the presence of uncertainty

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
This paper presents a novel methodology aimed at generating chi-square variates within the framework of neutrosophic statistics. It introduces algorithms designed for the generation of neutrosophic random chi-square variates and illustrates the ...

Exploiting metabolic adaptations to overcome dabrafenib treatment resistance in melanoma cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We show that dabrafenib‐resistant melanoma cells undergo mitochondrial remodeling, leading to elevated respiration and ROS production balanced by stronger antioxidant defenses. This altered redox state promotes survival despite mitochondrial damage but renders resistant cells highly vulnerable to ROS‐inducing compounds such as PEITC, highlighting redox

Non classical velocity statistics in a turbulent atomic Bose Einstein condensate

open access: yes, 2009
In a recent experiment Paoletti et al (Phys. Rev. Lett. 101, 154501, 2008) monitored the motion of tracer particles in turbulent superfluid helium and inferred that the velocity components do not obey the Gaussian statistics observed in ordinary ...
