Study of a Classical Strobe Composition
Propellants, Explosives, Pyrotechnics, 2013AbstractMany strobe compositions were discovered in the past but only a few have been studied and none of them were fully understood. This article aimed at introducing the ternary composition of ammonium perchlorate as oxidizer, magnalium as fuel, and barium sulfate as metal salt. Parameters that influence its performances are analyzed.

The power of the classical twin study
Heredity, 1978SUMMARY A method based on the non-central chi-square distribution is developed for the calculation of sample sizes required to reject, with given probability, models of variation when they are II wrong". The method is illustrated with reference to simple alternative models of variation in MZ and DZ twins reared together.

Study of Classical Scattering Theory
American Journal of Physics, 1957The classical theory of the scattering by a conservative central force is re-examined. A variational equation and a Fourier series expansion are developed whereby approximate expressions for the trajectory can be obtained. In addition, impulse integral equations are derived from which approximate relations between energy, impact parameter, and ...

The Study of Classical Civilization Without Classical Languages?
Greece and Rome, 1966I Know that it is a commonplace to begin with apologies, but the Head Master of Eton did so last night, and hence let me say that you are doomed to disappointment this morning if, at the end of your splendid and varied programme, you are expecting a sonorous peroration on ‘The Spirit of Antiquity’ or ‘The Greeks and what they mean to us’.

Emergency nurse : the journal of the RCN Accident and Emergency Nursing Association
In May this year, I was lucky enough to go to Larissa in northern Greece as part of the Hope Exchange 2003, a study tour organised by the European Union's hospital committee and administered by the Institute of Healthcare Management (IHM). During my stay I visited a primary care unit and two A&E departments.

Simulation Studies of Classical and Non-classical Nucleation
1991We present the results of Monte Carlo studies of nucleation in Ising models with several interaction ranges. We find that for systems with short range interactions the classical theory of nucleation correctly describes the simulation results. However for systems with long range interactions undergoing deep quenches, the nucleation process is not ...
