Classification of papillomaviruses

open access: yesVirology, 2004
One hundred eighteen papillomavirus (PV) types have been completely described, and a yet higher number of presumed new types have been detected by preliminary data such as subgenomic amplicons. The classification of this diverse group of viruses, which include important human pathogens, has been debated for three decades.

Integrative systems‐level analysis reveals a contextual crosstalk between hypoxia and global metabolism in human breast tumors

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Breast tumor samples scored for metabolic deregulation (M1 to M3) were given a hypoxia score (HS). The highest HS occurred in patients with strongest metabolic deregulation (M3), supporting tumor aggressiveness. HS correlated with the highest number of metabolic pathways in M1. This suggests hypoxia to be an early event in metabolic deregulation.

Analysis Acoustic Features for Acoustic Scene Classification and Score fusion of multi-classification systems applied to DCASE 2016 challenge [PDF]

open access: yesPark, S., Mun, S., Lee, Y., and Ko, H. (2016). Score fusion of classification systems for acoustic scene classification. IEEE AASP Challenge on Detection and Classification of Acoustic Scenes and Events (DCASE), 2018
This paper describes an acoustic scene classification method which achieved the 4th ranking result in the IEEE AASP challenge of Detection and Classification of Acoustic Scenes and Events 2016. In order to accomplish the ensuing task, several methods are explored in three aspects: feature extraction, feature transformation, and score fusion for final ...

Crosstalk between gut microbiota and tumor: tumors could cause gut dysbiosis and metabolic imbalance

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this research, we analyzed the relationship between gut microbiota and tumor. We discovered that both subcutaneous and metastatic tumors would alter the composition and metabolic function of gut microbiota. Meanwhile, fecal microbiota transplantation also indicated the anti‐tumor role of the gut microbiota, revealing the crosstalk between tumor and ...

Study on sloshing simulation in the independent tank for an ice-breaking LNG carrier

open access: yesInternational Journal of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering, 2020
As the LNG carrier operates in ice covered waters, it is key to ensure the overall safety, which is related to the coupling effect of ice-breaking process and internal liquid sloshing. This paper focuses on the sloshing simulation of the ice-breaking LNG

Deep neural network-based classification model for Sentiment Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2019
The growing prosperity of social networks has brought great challenges to the sentimental tendency mining of users. As more and more researchers pay attention to the sentimental tendency of online users, rich research results have been obtained based on the sentiment classification of explicit texts. However, research on the implicit sentiment of users

Spatial classification

open access: yesDiscrete Applied Mathematics, 2008
AbstractThe aim of a spatial classification is to position the units on a spatial network and to give simultaneously a set of structured classes of these units “compatible” with the network. We introduce the basic needed definitions: compatibility between a classification structure and a tessellation, (m,k)-networks as a case of tessellation, convex ...

Integrative analysis of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients: a comprehensive approach

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study simultaneously investigated circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and exosomes from small‐cell lung cancer (SCLC) patients. The elevated expression of JUNB and CXCR4 in CTCs was a poor prognostic factor for SCLC patients, whereas exosomal overexpression of these biomarkers revealed a high discrimination ability of patients from healthy individuals,

ASSESSMENT OF LIBRARY USERS’ FEEDBACK USING MODIFIED MULTILAYER PERCEPTRON NEURAL NETWORKS

open access: yesICTACT Journal on Soft Computing, 2017
An attempt has been made to evaluate the feedbacks of library users of four different libraries by using neural network based data mining techniques. This paper presents the results of a survey of users’ satisfactory level on four different libraries ...
