Estimation of heritability for claw traits in Holstein cattle using Bayesian and REML approaches [PDF]
The aim of this study was to estimate the heritability of claw conformation traits in Slovak Holstein cattle by using two approaches: the Bayesian method and the restricted maximum likelihood (REML) algorithm.

Induced subgraphs with large degrees at end-vertices for hamiltonicity of claw-free graphs
A graph is called \emph{claw-free} if it contains no induced subgraph isomorphic to $K_{1,3}$. Matthews and Sumner proved that a 2-connected claw-free graph $G$ is hamiltonian if every vertex of it has degree at least $(|V(G)|-2)/3$. At the workshop C\&C

Mechanism‐Driven Screening of Membrane‐Targeting and Pore‐Forming Antimicrobial Peptides
To combat antibiotic resistance, this study employs mechanism‐driven screening with machine learning to identify pore‐forming antimicrobial peptides from amphibian and human metaproteomes. Seven peptides are validated, showing minimal toxicity and membrane disruption.

Dead Matter, Living Machines: Repurposing Crustaceans' Abdomen Exoskeleton for Bio‐Hybrid Robots
Crustacean exoskeletons, repurposed from food waste, are engineered into sustainable bending actuators combining biotic structure with synthetic control. The augmented exoskeletons achieve rapid and robust motion with lightweight body and can be used as part of robotic manipulators, grippers and swimmers.

Role of Devil’s Claw (A Medicinal Herb) in Health
evil’s claw, a medicinal herb, derived its name from its hook-covered fruit appearance. The hook anchor animals to disperse its seeds. This plant has the scientific name Harpagophytum procumbens, which in Greek means “hook plant.” Some people utilize ...

Hamilton cycles in almost distance-hereditary graphs [PDF]
Let $G$ be a graph on $n\geq 3$ vertices. A graph $G$ is almost distance-hereditary if each connected induced subgraph $H$ of $G$ has the property $d_{H}(x,y)\leq d_{G}(x,y)+1$ for any pair of vertices $x,y\in V(H)$.

Heavy subgraphs, stability and hamiltonicity
Let $G$ be a graph. Adopting the terminology of Broersma et al. and \v{C}ada, respectively, we say that $G$ is 2-heavy if every induced claw ($K_{1,3}$) of $G$ contains two end-vertices each one has degree at least $|V(G)|/2$; and $G$ is o-heavy if every
