Ion Crowding Effect in Unilaterally Downsized Perovskite Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The downscaling of perovskite memristors incorporating monocrystalline nanoplates is accompanied by an ion crowding effect, which greatly enhances the local electric field in the vicinity of electrode. The highly controlled crowding of anions and vacancies results in anisotropic switching characteristics as well as unique morphology modification ...

Scalable Laser Processing Enables Transparent, Accretion Scale‐Independent, Ice‐Shedding Glass

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We demonstrate a scalable laser‐based method to create wave‐like micro‐patterns on glass surfaces that counter the conventional view that roughness increases ice adhesion. These patterns direct crack propagation at the ice–glass interface, enabling low‐force, multi‐directional ice detachment while maintaining substrate transparency. A theoretical model

(Il)legal Bodies: Activism, Climate Fictions, Climate Culling

open access: yesLanguage, Literature, and Interdisciplinary Studies
When the non-violent environmental protest group Extinction Rebellion (XR) was created in late 2018, I was completing a Masters in Research in Science Fiction Literature. Although initially nervous, I understood the urgent need to non-violently protest the lack of governmental action on the climate and ecological crisis (as it has since become known).

Sugar‐Armored Pesticides: Self‐Assembled System for Enhanced Foliar Adhesion and Sustained Delivery of Hydrophobic Antimicrobials Against Bacterial Diseases

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study develops a sugar‐armored, self‐assembled pesticide delivery system that enhances foliar adhesion, provides sustained release, effectively disrupts biofilms, and demonstrates superior bactericidal activity for improved disease control.
