Engineering Na‐Rich P2‐Type Layered Oxides Through Li/Ti Dual Doping for Oxygen Redox Activation and Superior Structural Stability

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
P2‐type sodium layered oxides have potential for high‐voltage operation but suffer from structural instability and capacity fading. This work demonstrates that synergistic Li and Ti co‐doping enhances sodium inventory, suppresses detrimental phase transitions, and activates reversible lattice oxygen redox.

Emerging Materials and Future Strategies for Solid Oxide Electrochemical Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Solid oxide electrochemical cells operate under strongly coupled electrochemical and thermodynamic conditions, where performance is constrained by interactions among crystal structure, defect chemistry, and interfacial evolution. This review, based on a structure‐defect‐property‐durability framework, reveals the roles of lattice symmetry and defect ...

High‐Performance Noble‐Metal‐Free Perovskite Solar Cells Enabled by MoOX/Cr/Al Multilayer Electrodes

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Cost‐effective perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are developed using a noble‐metal‐free MoOX/Cr/Al multilayer electrode. The devices achieve a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 25.6%, competitive with that of Au‐based devices (26.3%), and a 25.5 cm2 mini‐module shows 21.3% PCE.

Electrolyte Confinement Enables a Continuous Transition From Battery‐Like to Capacitor‐Like Na+ Storage via Solvent Co‐Intercalation

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Layered titanates with expanded interlayer galleries reveal how nanoconfinement and electrolyte solvation control Na+ storage kinetics. In diglyme electrolyte, solvent co‐intercalation and strongly reduced interfacial impedance enable increasingly capacitor‐like behavior with increasing interlayer spacing, whereas carbonate electrolytes form resistive ...

Design Principles of Electrocatalysts for Industrial‐Scale Water Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This Review distills electrocatalyst design for industrial‐scale water electrolysis into integrated principles linking active‐site engineering, phase and lattice modulation, interfacial microenvironment regulation and mass‐transport control. By connecting catalyst families with HER/OER mechanisms and practical operating demands, it outlines pathways ...

Fluorinated Methylammonium Cation Containing Perovskite Solar Cells With Over 25% Power Conversion Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Fluoromethylammonium iodide (FMAI) is prepared using a facile procedure through a simple nucleophilic reaction between fluoroiodomethane and ammonia in methanol and tested in n‐i‐p perovskite solar cells. FMA+ cation in combination with FA+ and Cs+ cations affords a power conversion efficiency close to 26% with a long‐term operational stability for ...

Hemp Cultivation and Crop Diversification: Implications for Ecosystem Services in Kentucky

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the ecosystem benefits of expanding hemp cultivation by assessing its impact on crop diversity. Using scenario‐based simulations and fixed‐effect panel regressions with county‐level data in Kentucky, we find that increased hemp acreage tends to enhance crop diversity, improving water quality and bird diversity.
