Unbiased evaluation and calibration of ensemble forecast anomalies [PDF]
Long-range ensemble forecasts are typically verified as anomalies with respect to a lead-time dependent climatology to remove the influence of systematic biases. However, common methods for calculating anomalies result in statistical inconsistencies between forecast and verification anomalies, even for a perfectly reliable ensemble.

Climatic Specific Energy Rating Analysis of Outdoor PV Field Data
The study evaluates the Climatic Specific Energy Rating (CSER) of Photovoltaic device according to IEC 61853 standard series. It explores the use of long‐term PV outdoor field data in order to understand how the length and seasonality of the data acquisition period affects the reliability of the CSER parameter. It provides important insights for the PV

Conserving biodiversity in the face of rapid climate change requires a shift in priorities
The conservation field is expanding in scope beyond traditional biodiversity‐focused conservation to address shifting societal values and the magnitude and rapidity of climate change. Such an expansion will require (1) an increased focus on human wellbeing, (2) accepting certain forms of change to foster ecological transitions, and (3) a concerted ...
