On my way home from work the other week I was approached by a familiar face. It was one of the healthcare assistants (HCAs) I had recruited onto an NVQ programme at a local hospital a few years ago. It was exciting to hear that many of the HCAs from her group had gone on to become registered nurses, and were about to embark on their nursing careers!
