Self-piercing riveting - a review [PDF]
Self-Piercing Riveting (SPR) is a cold mechanical joining process used to join two or more sheets of materials by driving a semitubular rivet piercing through the top sheet or the top and middle sheets and subsequently lock into the bottom sheet under ...

Numerical investigation of pitting corrosion in clinched joints
Abstract The effect of corrosion on mechanically joined components is not well understood. While recent research shows that a brief exposure of clinched specimens to a salt spray environment improves the specimens’ fatigue life, other research shows a decrease in load bearing capabilities with increasing corrosion times.

Connection in Joints for Thin-Walled Steel Sections and Sheeting [PDF]
Thin-walled cold-formed members are thin, this will give rise to behavioural phenomena, which are not usually encountered in the more familiar hot-rolled sections.

THE ABILITY TO CLINCHING AS A FUNCTION OF MATERIAL HARDENING BEHAVIOR
Mechanical clinching can be used to joining different metallic materials. The only restriction is their plastic properties. However, some plastic materials, with good ductility, do not conform strong clinch joint, e.g.

Experimental Investigation on the Joining of Aluminum Alloy Sheets Using Improved Clinching Process [PDF]
Aluminum alloy sheets have been widely used to build the thin-walled structures by mechanical clinching technology in recent years. However, there is an exterior protrusion located on the lower sheet and a pit on the upper sheet, which may restrict the ...

Examination of Lower Limb Ambidextrous Execution of the Snap Down Technique in Folk Style Wrestling [PDF]
The purpose of this study was to examine the kinematic motions of the lower extremity in the snap down technique. Specifically, the study examined the kinematic differences between execution using the dominant and non-dominant side. Angular displacement,
