Relationship between lymphovascular invasion and clinicopathological features of papillary thyroid carcinoma.

open access: yesBosnian Journal of Basic Medical Sciences, 2017
Lymphovascular invasion (LVI) is an important prognostic factor in various solid tumors, however, data on the association between LVI and thyroid carcinomas are limited.

Genome‐Wide In Vivo RNAi Screening Identifies HOXD4 as a Tumor Metastasis Suppressor in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metastasis remains a major challenge in colorectal cancer. Using an in vivo shRNA screening system, this study identifies Homeobox D4 as a key metastasis suppressor. Reduced Homeobox D4 expression is associated with aggressive tumor features. Functional and mechanistic analyses show that it inhibits epithelial‐mesenchymal transition by repressing ...

Clinicopathological features of adult-onset neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease

open access: yesBrain : a journal of neurology, 2016
Neuronal intranuclear inclusion disease (NIID) has highly variable clinical manifestations. Sone et al. describe the clinical and pathological features of 57 adult-onset cases diagnosed by postmortem dissection/antemortem skin biopsy.

HNRNPD Induces Radioresistance in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma by Sequestering GRAMD4 mRNA in Stress Granules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HNRNPD promotes radioresistance in nasopharyngeal carcinoma by enhancing stress granule assembly and sequestering GRAMD4 mRNA. This suppresses GRAMD4 translation and inhibits mitochondrial apoptosis. Targeting the integrated stress response with ISRIB restores GRAMD4 expression and sensitizes tumors to radiotherapy, revealing a translational control ...

Clinicopathological features and prognosis of gastric adenosquamous carcinoma

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Data about primary gastric adenosquamous carcinoma (ASC) was limited due to rare incidence. Thus, the present study aims to investigate clinicopathological features and prognosis of gastric ASC. Cases of gastric ASC were obtained from our center and from

Disruption of the SNRPF–DDX24–E2F4 Feedback Loop Uncouples Splicing and Transcriptional Regulation to Suppress Ovarian Cancer Progression

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies SNRPF as a critical oncogenic driver in ovarian cancer. By regulating a self‐sustaining SNRPF–DDX24–E2F4 feedback loop through intron retention and nonsense‐mediated decay, SNRPF couples RNA splicing with transcriptional regulation to promote tumor progression.

Prognostic significance of tumor microenvironment assessed by machine learning algorithm in surgically resected non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesCancer Reports, EarlyView., 2023
Abstract Background A methodology to assess the immune microenvironment (IME) of non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) has not been established, and the prognostic impact of IME factors is not yet clear. Aims This study aimed to assess the IME factors and evaluate their prognostic values. Methods and Results We assessed CD8+ tumor‐infiltrating lymphocyte (

Tumor location may affect the clinicopathological features and prognosis of thymomas

open access: yesThoracic Cancer, 2019
Background The current staging systems do not consider the tumor location of thymomas, and its clinical relevance is poorly understood. This study aimed to evaluate the impact of tumor location on the clinicopathological features and prognosis of ...

MEOX1 Coordinates Autocrine‐Paracrine Programs via SPHK1/S1P to Promote Lymph Node Metastasis in Ovarian Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In ovarian cancer, MEOX1 activates the SPHK1/S1P pathway to promote both tumor progression and tumor–stroma crosstalk. MEOX1‐dependent signaling drives CAF activation, enhances VEGF‐C expression, and stimulates lymphangiogenesis, ultimately facilitating lymph node metastasis.
