Cement phases are good materials for radiative cooling thanks to the selective emissivity in IR ATW. Cement powders have high reflectance of solar radiation which reduces the thermal losses. The onset of the absorption curves is defined by bound excitons. Sulfates have higher radiated powers and reflectance than calcium silicates.

Monitoring of alkalis in Portland clinker [PDF]
This bachelor thesis focuses on the localization of alkali in Portland clinker and their properties, which can significantly affect the lifetime of the concrete produced from these cements.

Morphological Dating of Fluvial Terrace Risers Across Spatial and Temporal Scales
Abstract Fluvial terraces are valuable terrestrial records of past climatic and tectonic changes. Morphological dating, which quantifies the degradation of the riser between two terraces, offers a relatively simple and cost‐effective alternative to other dating methods.

Abstract Young scoria cones fed by dike channels or conduits may undergo rapid and substantial post‐eruptive morphological modification; however, the structural controls and mechanisms governing topographic degradation remain poorly constrained. This knowledge gap limits our ability to reliably interpret topography, faults, deposits and the evolution ...

The Effect of Rice Husk on the Phase Formation and Cement Clinker Properties
The features of the cement clinker when rice husk is used are investigated. The dependence of the raw mixture composition on the set product burning characteristics has been analysed using the software “CLINKER”.
