Shape‐Morphing Nanoengineered Hydrogel Ribbons as Hemostats
This study introduces a self‐assembling, shape‐morphing nanoengineered hydrogel ribbon system that rapidly forms porous aggregates in situ for efficient hemostasis in trauma and surgical applications. Abstract Rapid and effective hemorrhage control remains a major challenge in trauma and surgical care, particularly for complex or noncompressible wounds.

The colour magnitude relation for galaxies in the Coma cluster [PDF]
We present a new photometric catalogue of the Coma galaxy cluster in the Johnson U- and V- bands. We cover an area of 3360arcmin2 of sky, to a depth of V=20 mag in a 13 arcsec diameter aperture, and produce magnitudes for ~1400 extended objects in metric

Electron–Matter Interactions During Electron Beam Nanopatterning
This article reviews the electron–matter interactions important to nanopatterning with electron beam lithography (EBL). Electron–matter interactions, including secondary electron generation routes, polymer radiolysis, and electron beam induced charging, are discussed.

Deconstructive versus reconstructive endovascular approaches for intracranial dissecting aneurysms
Background The annual incidence of the intracranial dissecting aneurysms is about 1 to 1.5 per 100,000. This is a well-known cause of stroke and subarachnoid hemorrhage in young and middle-aged patients (Santos-Franco et al. in Neurosurg Rev, 2008. https:

Releasing aperture filter constraints [PDF]
Aperture filters are a recently introduced class of nonlinear filters used in image processing. In this paper we present a new approach for aperture filter design, improving operator performance with respect to the MSE measure by releasing some of the ...

Membrane Wrapping for High Capacity and Rapidly Switchable Adhesives
A membrane‐wrapping mechanism enables high‐capacity, rapidly switchable adhesion by coupling suction, friction, and adhesion. Broadband performance is achieved in dry and underwater conditions, allowing fast, reversible manipulation of objects of diverse sizes and shapes, from delicate eggs and berries to flat, complex, or heavy objects. These outcomes
