Records of Enchytraeidae (Clitellata) from the People’s Republic of China [PDF]
Eleven species of terrestrial and aquatic Enchytraeidae are reported from southeastern China. Fridericia multisegmentata and Enchytraeus athecatus are new to science, while most of the others are recorded from the country for the first time.

The double sperm line in Isochaetides (Annelida, Clitellata, Tubificidae)
Tissue and Cell, 2002Sperm morphology and spermatogenesis were examined in the oligochaete annelid Isochaetides arenarius, a species belonging to the subfamily Tubificinae inhabiting the sediments of Lake Baikal. As all tubificines, Isochaetides produces two types of spermatozoa, named eusperm and parasperm.

New alluroidids (Annelida, Clitellata) from Guyana
Hydrobiologia, 2001A new genus and two new species of Alluroididae are described from Guyana and additional data are provided for two previously known species. Brinkhurstia donaldin. sp. is characterized by very long ribbon-like penial chaetae and an unpaired spermatheca with a sperm-filled diverticulum and opening mid-dorsally at 7/8. Righiella n. gen.

Global diversity of oligochaetous clitellates (“Oligochaeta”; Clitellata) in freshwater
Hydrobiologia, 2007Oligochaeta sensu stricto, namely clitellates exclusive of branchiobdellids and leeches, occur in marine, estuarine, freshwater and terrestrial environs. About one-third of the almost 5,000 valid species described to date is aquatic. With the exception of some earthworm-like genera (the “megadriles”), aquatic oligochaetes are usually small, ranging ...

Checklist of earthworms of North Macedonia (Clitellata: Megadrili)
ZootaxaIn this paper, we have summarized the current knowledge of earthworm fauna in North Macedonia. This list presents earthworm diversity, general ecology, distribution, and zoogeographical types for the first time. The complete list of earthworm taxa of North Macedonia comprises 59 species and subspecies, of which 57 taxa belong to the family Lumbricidae ...

Development of the genital ducts in Telmatodrilinae (Tubificidae, Clitellata)
Journal of Morphology, 2004AbstractIn Tubificidae, the male genital duct comprises a funnel in the testes segment, followed by a vas deferens, an atrium, and, frequently, a copulatory structure in the adjacent ovarian segment. There may also be a diffuse or compact prostate gland in association with the duct. The morphology and position of the genital ducts are important for the

On spermatophore-producing aquatic microdrile oligochaetes (Annelida: Clitellata)
Zootaxa, 2018The formation of encapsulated spermatophores is exceptional among aquatic oligochaetes, although it seems to have occurred independently in several unrelated taxa. Among the microdriles, some variations appear unique to single species. The recently described lumbriculid Uktena riparia Fend et al.
