The Systematic Position of the Branchiobdellidae (Annelida: Clitellata)

Systematic Zoology, 1965
The annelid worms which are epizoic on holarctic freshwater crustaceans were considered by their discoverers to be leeches (Odier, 1823). At a later period they were assigned to the oligochaetes (Vejdovsky, 1884; Michaelsen, 1909; Pierantoni, 1912). The question of their affinities has recently been reopened (Franzen, 1963).

Description of Branchiobdella turkestanensis n. sp. (Annelida: Clitellata) following a reexamination of specimens in the Natural History Museum Vienna, Austria.

Zootaxa
A new species of branchiobdellidan annelid, Branchiobdella turkestanensis, is described having been removed from a specimen of Pontastacus kessleri (Schimkewitsch, 1886), reportedly from Turkestan but collected from the headwaters of the Syr Darya which ...

Micromorphology of ovaries and oogenesis in Grania postclitellochaeta (Clitellata: Enchytraeidae)

Zoology, 2018
The genus Grania comprises over 70 species of exclusively marine clitellate annelids belonging to the family Enchytraeidae. Morphologically, this genus is well separated from other enchytraeids, with thick cuticles, anterior segments I-IV fused into a "head", chaetal bundles consisting only of one stout chaeta, and reduction of circular musculature ...

Communities of soil-living enchytraeids (Annelida, Clitellata, Enchytraeidae) of the European part of Russia

Экология
Enchytraeids are key organisms in the functioning of terrestrial ecosystems, but despite this, the fauna and population of enchytraeids of the European part of Russia (ER) have been studied rather poorly.

Terrestrial polychaetes — models for the evolution of the Clitellata (Annelida)?

Hydrobiologia, 1999
The origin and the position of the Clitellata in the phylogenetic system are the object of vigorous scientific debate. Since most extant Clitellata are either terrestrial or limnetic, the question arises which characters are specific adaptations to these environments and which are plesiomorphies taken from the annelid stem species. A promising approach

The phylogeny of Branchiobdellida (Annelida, Clitellata) assessed by sperm characters

Zoologischer Anzeiger - A Journal of Comparative Zoology, 2004
Abstract Data on the spermatozoa of Branchiobdellida were taken from the published literature: sperm models of 25 species belonging to 13 different branchiobdellidan genera have been compared with the aim of supplying further evidences for a phylogenetic analysis of the group.
