2019This chapter places Clitic Doubling in Argentinean Spanish into the broad perspective of pronominal doubling phenomena. A series of diagnostics is presented based on the interaction of Clitic Doubling with its PF/pragmatic effects, on the one hand, and its syntactic/LF effects, on the other.

The formal semantics of clitic doubling
Journal of Semantics, 1999This article presents a study of the semantics of clitic pronouns and clitic doubling in Spanish and related languages. Its main hypothesis is that the co-occurrence restrictions that are observed between the clitic element and its quantifier associate can be properly characterized within Generalized Quantifiers Theory.

Clitic Clusters and Clitic Doubling
2006Many function words in the Balkan Sprachbund languages are clitics. Except in Balkan Romani, most of the “clausal” clitics, notably the pronominal and auxiliary clitics, the negation marker, the subjunctive marker and occasionally monosyllabic adverbs, occur in clusters.
