MicrobiologyOpen, Volume 15, Issue 2, April 2026.This study investigated multidrug resistance in Gram‐negative bacteria from chicken and pork meat in Kathmandu, isolating 136 strains from 13 samples. Nearly half were multidrug resistant, highlighting contaminated meat as a potential route for zoonotic transmission and the need for antimicrobial resistance monitoring in Nepal.
