Ecology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 9, September 2026.We developed a SNP panel for non‐invasive genetic monitoring of introduced sambar deer which enables the integration of faecal‐derived genotypes with existing data. Our degradation study found that exposed faecal samples were viable up to 4 days, with ~200 SNPs successfully genotyped, while protected samples were still viable after 14 days.
