Physical Review Letters, 1995We report on a new analysis of instabilities in close neutron star binaries based upon (3+1) dimensional general relativistic numerical hydrodynamics calculations. Research on close binary systems has continued at a high level during the past triennium, although the rate of growth is noticeably slower - probably reflecting the cutbacks in funds to which many of us are subject. Late-Type Stars and Close Binaries
2007Late-type stars are generally characterized by the chromospheric structure showing active phenomena observable by the formation of emission lines and emission of X-ray and UV radiations. In the optical region, most ubiquitous emission lines are CaII H, K lines, while Hα line appears in fully developed chromospheres.
