Investigation of the influence of various factors on the power of heat exchange by radiation
The issue of lack of knowledge of radiation heat transfer process has been repeatedly raised in various studies. Despite the fact that works on study of heat transfer by radiation covers a wide range of different industries, it should be noted the lack ...

Subgroup-closed lattice formations
The paper under review deals with finite groups. Therefore, the word ``group'' will mean ``finite group''. Recall that a class of finite groups that is closed under taking quotients and subdirect products is called a \textit{formation}. If every subgroup of a group in a formation \(\mathfrak F\) is also in \(\mathfrak F\), then \(\mathfrak F\) is ...

Lattice Boltzmann phase-field modeling of thermocapillary flows in a confined microchannel [PDF]
To understand how thermocapillary forces manipulate the droplet motion in a confined microchannel, a lattice Boltzmann phase-field model is developed to simulate immiscible thermocapillary flows with consideration of fluid–surface interactions.

We report on the structural properties of Bi thin films grown on (111) Si substrates with a thickness of 22–30 BL. HRXRD and EBSD measurements show that these Bi films are mainly composed of twinning grains in the (0003) direction.

Non-Close-Packed Particle Arrays Based on Anisotropic Red Blood Cell (RBC) like Particles via Stretching Deformation Method [PDF]
Non-close-packed (NCP) particle arrays have potential applications in many fields such as photonics and sensors. However, due to thermodynamic stability, it is still a challenge to produce NCP arrays by the traditional approach.

Lattice Points Close to the Heisenberg Spheres
We study a lattice point counting problem for spheres arising from the Heisenberg groups. In particular, we prove an upper bound on the number of points on and near large dilates of the unit spheres generated by the anisotropic norms $\|(z,t)\|_α= ( |z|^α+ |t|^{α/2})^{1/α}$ for $α\geq 2$.
