MYCOPHENOLATE MOFETIL TREATMENT REDUCES THE RISK OF TREATMENT ESCALATION DUE TO VASCULAR COMPLICATIONS IN LIMITED CUTANEOUS SYSTEMIC SCLEROSIS: EMULATION OF A TARGET TRIAL FROM ITALIAN RHEUMATOLOGY SOCIETY SPRING REGISTRY

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, Accepted Article.
Objective Mycophenolate Mofetil (MMF) use in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (lcSSc) is relatively uncommon due to the lower fibrotic burden and the predominance of the vascular complications. In vitro observations and clinical data from transplanted patients suggest a protective effect of MMF on endothelial function.

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Automated, closed form integration of formulas in elliptic motion [PDF]

open access: yesCelestial Mechanics, 1971
In some perturbation theories it is possible to avoid expansion of the perturbations in powers of the eccentricity, obtaining results in closed form by using the true or eccentric anomaly instead of the mean anomaly. This paper describes an algorithm (which has been programmed for the 6600 computer using the formula manipulation system TRIGMAN) for ...

Current Tracking Adaptive Control of Brushless DC Motors

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
In this paper, the current tracking for Brushless Direct Current motors is approached considering uncertainty in the parameters of the motor's model. An adaptive control scheme to compensate electrical parameters uncertainty is proposed without requiring any knowledge of the mechanical parameters.

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

Itô’s Formula, the Stochastic Exponential, and Change of Measure on General Time Scales

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2017
We provide an Itô formula for stochastic dynamical equation on general time scales. Based on this Itô’s formula we give a closed-form expression for stochastic exponential on general time scales.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Closed-Form Solution for CFAR Detection Threshold in G0 Distributed SAR Clutter

open access: yesIEEE Access
We devise a constant false alarm rate (CFAR) detector for detecting targets in clutter regions with varying degrees of heterogeneity. The CFAR detector employs the $\mathcal {G}^{0}$ distribution for characterizing the statistics of background ...

On the size of two families of unlabeled bipartite graphs

open access: yesAKCE International Journal of Graphs and Combinatorics, 2019
Let denote the set of unlabeled bipartite graphs whose edges connect a set of vertices with a set of vertices. In this paper, we provide exact formulas for and using Polya’s Counting Theorem.
