A closed-form solution for paraperspective reconstruction
Proceedings 15th International Conference on Pattern Recognition. ICPR-2000, 2002We address the problem of 3D reconstruction from image features tracked along a sequence. The most precise algorithms compute the maximum likelihood (ML) estimate and are iterative. They need an approximate 3D reconstruction as starting position. For that purpose, we propose a closed-form expression of paraperspective reconstruction.

Closed form solutions of the Sylvester and the Lyapunov equations - closed form Gramians
2008 American Control Conference, 2008In this paper, closed form expressions of linear MIMO system responses are used to express the solution of the Sylvester equation in closed form. The solution makes use of matrix polynomial formulations of etA. The solutions to the input and the output Lyapunov equations, i.e.

A Closed-Form Solution for Localization Based on RSS
IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2020Various methods have been proposed for passive localization by using a network of sensors measuring different parameters such as the angle of arrival (AOA), time difference of arrival (TDOA), Doppler frequency difference of arrival (FDOA), differential received signal strength (DRSS), the gain ratio of arrival (GROA), or a combination of these pieces ...

Closed-Form Solution for SPUDTs
Proceedings of the 2005 IEEE International Frequency Control Symposium and Exposition, 2005., 2006Rigorous, full-field theory of single-phase interdigital transducers is presented and extended, by perturbation analysis, to account for the mechanical properties of strips. The theory and its resulting closed-form expressions are general and applicable to any narrow-band transducers; they are ready for use in engineering practice for designing and ...

Closed-Form Solutions to Forward–Backward Smoothing
IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2012We propose a closed-form Gaussian sum smoother and, more importantly, closed-form smoothing solutions for increasingly complex problems arising from practice, including tracking in clutter, joint detection and tracking (in clutter), and multiple target tracking (in clutter) via the probability hypothesis density.

A new closed-form solution for absolute orientation
Proceedings of IEEE Conference on Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition CVPR-94, 1994Presents a closed-form solution for the determination of 3D displacement and rotation parameters, given a set of 3D point correspondences. The method applies to the general case of arbitrary displacement and rotation with respect to an arbitrary stationary scene.
