Septin 9 PB domains coordinate centrosome positioning and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

I**g-CLOSED SETS

open access: yesJournal of New Theory, 2016
− In this paper, we introduce the notion of I ∗ ∗g -closed sets and prove that this class of sets is stronger than the class of gs∗ I -closed sets as well as the class of Ig-closed sets. Characterizations and properties of I ∗ ∗g -closed sets and I ∗ ∗g -

δ-closure, θ-closure and generalized closed sets

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2005
We study some new classes of generalized closed sets (in the sense of N. Levine) in a topological space via the associated δ-closure and θ-closure. The relationships among these new classes and existing classes of generalized closed sets are investigated.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Regular Generalized ω-Closed Sets

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2007
In 1982 and 1970, Hdeib and Levine introduced the notions of ω-closed set and generalized closed set, respectively. The aim of this paper is to provide a relatively new notion of generalized closed set, namely, regular generalized ω-closed, regular ...

APPLICATIONS OF Θ-CLOSED AND U-CLOSED SETS

open access: yesJournal of Information and Organizational Sciences, 1984
Fop every Hausdorff space X the spaces XΘ and Xu are introduced. If X is H-closed (Urysohn-closed) then XΘ (Xu) is compact T1-space. If f: X->Y is a mapping, then there exist the mappings fΘ:XΘ->YΘ and fu: Xu->Yu. We say that f : X->Y is a Θ-closed (u-closed) mapping if fΘ (fu) is a closed mapping.

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

nIαg-closed sets and Normality via nIαg-closed sets in Nano Ideal Topological Spaces

open access: yes, 2020
We have defined a new generalised closed set called nIαg closed sets in nano ideal topological spaces. Also, association of nIαg closed sets with various existing closed sets are studied.

g_*^*-I-Closed Sets and Their Properties in in Ideal Topological Space [PDF]

open access: yesالمجلة العراقية للعلوم الاحصائية
There are many research papers that deal with different types of generalized closed sets. Levine [4] introduced generalized closed (briefly, -closed) sets and studied their basic properties and Veera Kumar [5] introduced -closed sets in topological ...

Microbiome−host proteostasis crosstalk—An emerging perspective on mechanisms and interventions toward healthy longevity

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Proteostasis and the gut microbiota play a key role in shaping host physiology. Microbiota‐derived metabolites, vitamins, and RNA modulate host proteostasis. Findings from model systems, including C. elegans, indicate microbes can either stabilize or disrupt host proteostasis.
