Emerging alternatives against Clostridioides difficile infection
Anaerobe, 2022Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) is a significant worry within healthcare institutions and the community. It is one of the leading agents causing severe diarrhea worldwide. Effective management is critical since the morbidity and mortality attributed to CDI have increased exponentially over the past 20 years.

Clostridioides difficile infections among healthcare workers
American Journal of Infection Control, 2020Health care workers (HCWs) are constantly exposed to patients with Clostridiodes difficile infection (CDI) although their risk developing infection is unknown. We designed a retrospective comparative study including HCWs with CDI and 2 comparator groups with a 1:2 ratio: HCWs without CDI and admitted patients with CDI.

[Clostridioides difficile infections].
Nederlands tijdschrift voor geneeskunde, 2023Here, we describe the epidemiology, diagnostics, and treatment of Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI) in the primary health care setting. CDI is traditionally considered as a healthcare associated infection. However, infections with onset in the community represent a large proportion of CDI.

Clostridioides difficile-Infection (CDI)
VacciTUTOR, 2022Clostridioides difficile is a Gram positive, spore-forming bacillus colonizing the lower gastrointestinal tract. Use of antibiotics, older age, and underlying diseases contribute to changes in the microbial flora of the gut, which may lead to the production of toxins that cause C.

A multivalent mRNA-LNP vaccine protects against Clostridioides difficile infection
ScienceClostridioides difficile infection (CDI) is an urgent public health threat with limited preventative options. In this work, we developed a messenger RNA (mRNA)–lipid nanoparticle (LNP) vaccine targeting C. difficile toxins and virulence factors.

Clostridioides difficile infection diagnosis
Annales de Biologie CliniqueClostridioides difficile is a Gram-positive, spore-forming anaerobic enteropathogen responsible for a wide spectrum of clinical diseases ranging from mild diarrhoea to pseudomembranous colitis. It is the first cause of healthcare-associated diarrhoeas, but community-associated Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI) are increasingly reported in ...
