Vertebral augmentation-related Clostridium septicum osteomyelitis. [PDF]

open access: yesRadiol Case Rep, 2022
We present a case of vertebral osteomyelitis following multiple vertebral augmentations in a patient with an insidious presentation. DNase production by Clostridium septicum [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Microbiology, 1987
Sixty-two Clostridium septicum isolates were assayed for extracellular DNase activity. All of the C. septicum isolates tested produced greater DNase activity than did the other DNase-producing clostridial isolates tested. The molecular weight of the DNase of C. septicum was determined to be approximately 45,000.

Microbiological aspects and challenges of whey powders – I thermoduric, thermophilic and spore‐forming bacteria

open access: yesInternational Journal of Dairy Technology, Volume 76, Issue 4, Page 779-800, November 2023., 2023
Spores can be a serious issue in whey powders, especially when rehydrated and used as such, or to fortify other food products such as infant milk formulas and if spores can form biofilms. Spore numbers can be controlled using high‐quality milk, the sanitation of equipment and application of sufficient pasteurisation (can be with other decontamination ...
