Rapid and Accurate Pressure Sensing Device for Direct Measurement of Intraocular Pressure. [PDF]
PurposeIntraocular pressure (IOP) is the primary modifiable risk factor for glaucoma. Current devices measure IOP via the dynamic response of the healthy cornea and do not provide the accurate IOP measurements for patients with altered corneal ...

Abstract Purpose To investigate whether primary open‐angle glaucoma (POAG) is associated with an increased long‐term risk of developing Alzheimer's disease, given its shared neurodegenerative features. Methods A 20‐year longitudinal, registry‐based matched cohort study was conducted using Danish national health registries from 1998 to 2018. Individuals

Management of angle closure glaucoma
Primary angle closure glaucoma (PACG) is equally prevalent in Indian in Asian population as the primary open angle glaucoma. Eighty-six percent of people with PACG are in Asia, with approximately 48.0% in China, 23.9% in India and 14.1% in southeast Asia. To understand PACG, it is mandatory to understand its classification and type of presentation with

Abstract Purpose To compare retinal vessel oxygen saturations and diameters before, 1 and 3 months after trabeculectomy. Methods Retinal oxygen saturations and vessel diameters were obtained using retinal oximetry. The effect of the postoperative intraocular pressure (IOP) decrease on the arteriovenous difference (AV‐difference) was evaluated ...
