Chromatin unwinding state for in situ identification and lineage tracing of circulating tumor cells

The detection of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) through liquid biopsy offers a non‐invasive approach for accurately monitoring cancer dissemination and evaluating therapeutic efficiency. However, their rarity and heterogeneity limit conventional tumor antigen labelling‐based methods in identifying and tracing CTCs.

Non‐invasive and efficient diabetic retinal mitochondrial repair nanoplatform based on engineered endothelial mitochondrial‐derived vesicles with dynamic integrated stress response modulation

Under hyperglycemic conditions, mitochondrial dysfunction in retinal endothelial cells triggers excessive reactive oxygen species/reactive nitrogen species production, barrier protein degradation, and endothelial barrier breakdown in diabetic retinopathy.

Complement C3 mediates adolescent social isolation‐induced hippocampal synaptic deficits and sex‐specific emotional dysfunction

Adolescent social isolation disrupts hippocampal function and exacerbates emotional symptoms, with sex‐specific patterns, as shown by human studies. In mice, social isolation decreased hippocampal synaptic density and calcium signaling, upregulated complement proteins, and activated complement‐mediated microglial synaptic phagocytosis.

Evapotranspiration Profiles and Trends in Seasonally Dry and Seasonally Humid Tropical Forests

Moisture availability and vegetation are decisive factors in ET variations, which are greater in the Atlantic Forest. Precipitation contributes positively to ET variations (r = 0.20–0.67). Significant trends (p < 0.05) in ET were identified, with opposing patterns.

Extreme wildfires in the Pantanal in 2024 were driven by a cascade of heatwaves, rainfall deficits and the absence of the annual flood pulse. These conditions dried soils and rivers, enhanced fuel accumulation and enabled early and intense fire outbreaks.
