Cloud Base Signature in Transmission Spectra of Exoplanet Atmospheres [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
We present an analytical model for the transmission spectrum of a transiting exoplanet, showing that a cloud base can produce an observable inflection point in the spectrum.

Point clouds in BIM [PDF]

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science, 2016
The representation of physical buildings in Building Information Models (BIM) has been a subject of research since four decades in the fields of Construction Informatics and GeoInformatics. The early digital representations of buildings mainly appeared as 3D drawings constructed by CAD software, and the 3D representation of the buildings was only ...

Influence of cyclodextrin on the solubility of a classically prepared 2-vinylcyclopropane macromonomer in aqueous solution

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2012
A macromonomer 5 consisting of a polymerizable vinylcyclopropane end group and a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (poly(NiPAAm)) chain was obtained from amidation of 1-ethoxycarbonyl-2-vinylcyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (4) with an amino-terminated poly ...

Preparation of polyamide 12 powder for additive manufacturing applications via thermally induced phase separation

open access: yese-Polymers, 2022
Spherical polyamide 12 (PA12) powder for selective laser sintering (SLS) was prepared by thermally induced phase separation (TIPS) method. It was authenticated that the mixed solvent can regulate the liquid–liquid phase separation (LLPS) process by ...

Three-Dimensional Point Cloud Semantic Segmentation for Cultural Heritage: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2023
In the cultural heritage field, point clouds, as important raw data of geomatics, are not only three-dimensional (3D) spatial presentations of 3D objects but they also have the potential to gradually advance towards an intelligent data structure with ...

Effect of Salt on Gelation Behavior of Injectable Nanocomposite Scaffold Based on Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose and Hydroxyapatite/Tricalcium Phosphate Nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2014
Biocompatible cellulosic polymer hydrogels are used in in-situ forming injectable scaffolds for bone regeneration. The hydrogels, however, generally suffer from their inherent weak mechanical properties.

Self-Ordering Point Clouds

open access: yes2023 IEEE/CVF International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV), 2023
In this paper we address the task of finding representative subsets of points in a 3D point cloud by means of a point-wise ordering. Only a few works have tried to address this challenging vision problem, all with the help of hard to obtain point and cloud labels.

Point-GNN: Graph Neural Network for 3D Object Detection in a Point Cloud [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Vision and Pattern Recognition, 2020
In this paper, we propose a graph neural network to detect objects from a LiDAR point cloud. Towards this end, we encode the point cloud efficiently in a fixed radius near-neighbors graph. We design a graph neural network, named Point-GNN, to predict the

Fabrication of Porous Scaffolds from Poly(D,L-lactic acid) by Liquid-Liquid Phase Separation [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2008
In this study, porous scaffolds from poly(D,L-lactic acid) have been prepared via liquid- liquid phase separation method in ternary system of polymer-1,4-dioxane-water.
