Nanoscale Mapping of the Subcellular Glycosylation Landscape

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Using multiplexed super‐resolution imaging with fluorophore‐labeled lectins, this study reports intracellular glycosylation at the nanoscale across organelles and synaptic specializations. Extending glycan analysis beyond the cell surface, Glyco‐STORM reveals distinct glycosylation nanodomains in the ER, Golgi, lysosomes, and synaptic sites.

An Adaptive Thin Cloud Removal Method for Mitigating Bright Surface Interference

open access: yesIEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observations and Remote Sensing
A thin cloud thickness map (TCTM) is crucial for thin cloud removal tasks, but accurately estimating the TCTM can be a significant challenge. The TCTM is highly susceptible to buildings, which are unavoidable.

A Framework for QoS-aware Execution of Workflows over the Cloud

open access: yes, 2011
The Cloud Computing paradigm is providing system architects with a new powerful tool for building scalable applications. Clouds allow allocation of resources on a "pay-as-you-go" model, so that additional resources can be requested during peak loads and ...

Hyperelastic Starch Hydrogel Configures Edible and Biodegradable All‐Components for Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperelastic starch hydrogel is tailored via a phase separation strategy of solvent‐antisolvent co‐modulation. The mechanical performance of starch hydrogel is widely tuned with maximum strains: 194.4–361.4%; maximum tensile stresses: 34–192 kPa; and Young's moduli: 36.0–205.8 kPa. Notably, the hydrogel achieves complete soil degradation within 24 days

Multi-Pattern Scanning Mamba for Cloud Removal

open access: yesRemote Sensing
Detection of changes in remote sensing relies on clean multi-temporal images, but cloud cover may considerably degrade image quality. Cloud removal, a critical image-restoration task, demands effective modeling of long-range spatial dependencies to reconstruct information under cloud occlusions.

Dysfunctional TRIM31 of POMC Neurons Provokes Hypothalamic Injury and Peripheral Metabolic Disorder under Long‐Term Fine Particulate Matter Exposure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Particulate matter ≤2.5 µm (PM2.5) elevates risks of neurological and chronic metabolic diseases, but the underlying mechanisms linking PM2.5‐induced central nervous system (CNS) injury to metabolic dysfunction remain unclear. Hypothalamic pro‐opiomelanocortin‐expressing (POMC+) neurons regulate systemic metabolic homeostasis, and tripartite motif ...

Remimazolam Ameliorates Autistic‐Like Behaviors via Suppression of Ferroptosis in VTA Dopaminergic Neurons in a Mouse Model of ASD

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The ultra‐short‐acting sedative remimazolam has a sustained therapeutic effect on the core symptoms of VPA‐exposed mice. Remimazolam, a GABA agonist, exerts its therapeutic effects by protecting dopamine neurons in the VTA of VPA‐exposed mice. Meanwhile, ferroptosis is the critical mechanism by which remimazolam protects VTA dopaminergic neurons and ...

Cinnamic‐Hydroxamic‐Acid Derivatives Exhibit Antibiotic, Anti‐Biofilm, and Supercoiling Relaxation Properties by Targeting Bacterial Nucleoid‐Associated Protein HU

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Cinnamic‐hydroxamic‐acid derivatives (CHADs) are identified as novel inhibitors of the bacterial nucleoid‐associated protein HU, exhibiting potent antibacterial, anti‐biofilm (both inhibition and eradication), and DNA relaxation (anti‐supercoiling) activities. Moreover, CHADs demonstrate strong synergistic effects with multiple antibiotics.
