An overview of the petrography and petrology of particles from aggregate sample from asteroid Bennu
Abstract The OSIRIS‐REx mission returned a sample of regolith from the carbonaceous asteroid Bennu in September 2023. We present preliminary in situ investigations of the petrology and petrography of selected particles ranging in size from 0.5 to 3 mm.

Curlometer and gradient techniques: past and future applications
We review the range of applications and use of multi spacecraft techniques, applicable to close formation arrays of spacecraft, focusing on spatial gradient based methods, and the curlometer in particular. The curlometer was originally applied to Cluster

Technical Measures, Environmental Protection, and Trade
ABSTRACT Technical regulations are increasingly numerous, complex, and often less transparent than traditional price‐based measures. Widely employed to achieve nontrade policy objectives, these measures are frequently adopted for environmental protection purposes. However, the trade effects of environmental measures remain underexplored. Using a unique

Monitoring young associations and open clusters with Kepler in two-wheel mode [PDF]
We outline a proposal to use the Kepler spacecraft in two-wheel mode to monitor a handful of young associations and open clusters, for a few weeks each. Judging from the experience of similar projects using ground-based telescopes and the CoRoT spacecraft, this program would transform our understanding of early stellar evolution through the study of ...

The Limited Place in Cognitive Space
Abstract How we judge the similarity between stimuli in the world is connected ultimately to how we represent them. Because of this, decisions about how we model similarity, either in terms of human behavior or patterns of neural activity, can provide key insights into how representations are structured and organized.

The Need for Better Monitoring of Climate Change in the Middle and Upper Atmosphere
Abstract Anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions significantly impact the middle and upper atmosphere. They cause cooling and thermal shrinking and affect the atmospheric structure. Atmospheric contraction results in changes in key atmospheric features, such as the stratopause height or the peak ionospheric electron density, and also results in reduced ...

A reconstruction method of electron density distribution in the equatorial region of magnetosphere [PDF]
A method for the estimation of electron density from the ratio of the wave magnetic and electric field amplitude of whistler waves is developed. Near the geomagnetic equator, whistler wave normals are mainly close to the direction of the background magnetic field. Dispersion relation of whistler wave in the parallel propagation approximation is used in

High‐Speed Electron Flows in the Earth Magnetotail
Abstract High‐speed electron flows (HSEFs) play a crucial role in the energy dissipation and conversion processes within the terrestrial magnetosphere and can drive various types of plasma waves and instabilities, affecting the electron‐scale dynamics.
