To Cluster, or Not to Cluster: An Analysis of Clusterability Methods [PDF]
Clustering is an essential data mining tool that aims to discover inherent cluster structure in data. For most applications, applying clustering is only appropriate when cluster structure is present. As such, the study of clusterability, which evaluates whether data possesses such structure, is an integral part of cluster analysis. However, methods for

Clustering of CODEX clusters [PDF]
Context. The clustering of galaxy clusters links the spatial nonuniformity of dark matter halos to the growth of the primordial spectrum of perturbations. The amplitude of the clustering signal is widely used to estimate the halo mass of astrophysical objects.

Clustering cluster algebras with clusters
Classification of cluster variables in cluster algebras (in particular, Grassmannian cluster algebras) is an important problem, which has direct application to computations of scattering amplitudes in physics. In this paper, we apply the tableaux method to classify cluster variables in Grassmannian cluster algebras $\mathbb{C}[Gr(k,n)]$ up to $(k,n)=(3,

Implementation of Tunneling Junction Passivated Contact Concept in Flexible CIGS Solar Cells
In today's state‐of‐the‐art high‐efficiency silicon solar cells need to be inserted a thin insulating layer in order to reduce the recombination losses between the carrier transport layer and Si surface, which can form a tunneling junction (TJ), thus ...

Algorithms with greedy heuristic procedures for mixture probability distribution separation [PDF]
For clustering problems based on the model of mixture probability distribution separation, we propose new Variable Neighbourhood Search algorithms (VNS) and evolutionary genetic algorithms (GA) with greedy agglomerative heuristic procedures and compare ...

UAV-Based Crowd Surveillance in Post COVID-19 Era
Since outdoor events are gradually allowed within the current pandemic situation, a close monitoring of the crowd activity is needed to avoid undesired contact and disease transmission. In this context, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can be occasionally

Developing a Comprehensive Framework for Crowd Funding Factors by Using the Hexagon Technique
In recent years, crowd funding has seriously been considered as a novel method of financing start-up businesses and innovative ideas. In its short life time so far, the method has significantly grown in different aspects such as the number of proposed ...

Cluster algebras generated by projective cluster variables [PDF]
We introduce the notion of a lower bound cluster algebra generated by projective cluster variables as a polynomial ring over the initial cluster variables and the so-called projective cluster variables. We show that under an acyclicity assumption, the cluster algebra and the lower bound cluster algebra generated by projective cluster variables coincide.
