Comparison of Instrumental Activities of Daily Living assessment by face-to-face or telephone interviews: a randomized, crossover study

open access: yesAlzheimer’s Research & Therapy, 2020
Background The functional autonomy assessment is essential to manage patients with a neurodegenerative disease, but its evaluation is not always possible during a consultation.

Me, Myself and My Insula: An Oasis in the Forefront of Self-Consciousness

open access: yesBiology, 2023
The insula is a multiconnected brain region that centralizes a wide range of information, from the most internal bodily states, such as interoception, to high-order processes, such as knowledge about oneself.

Application of coal mine roof rating in Chinese coal mines

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology, 2018
The coal mine roof rating (CMRR) is a measure of roof quality or structure competency for bedded roof types typically of underground coal mines. The CMRR has been used widely in the US, South Africa, Canada and Australia.

Evaluating increases in sensitivity from NORDIC for diverse fMRI acquisition strategies

open access: yesNeuroImage, 2023
As the neuroimaging field moves towards detecting smaller effects at higher spatial resolutions, and faster sampling rates, there is increased attention given to the deleterious contribution of unstructured, thermal noise.

Design a Bioamplifier with High CMRR [PDF]

open access: yesVLSI Design, 2013
A CMOS amplifier with differential input and output was designed for very high common-mode rejection ratio (CMRR) and low offset. This design was implemented by the 0.35 μm CMOS technology provided by TSMC. With three stages of amplification and by balanced self-bias, a voltage gain of 80 dB with a CMRR of 130 dB was achieved.

Optimization of the Inclusion of Alzheimer's Disease Patients in International Multicenter Randomized Trials: Results of a National Survey Conducted in Memory Research Centers in France

open access: yesDementia and Geriatric Cognitive Disorders Extra, 2013
Introduction: Since 2002, with the creation of Centers of Memory Resources and Research (CMRR), considerable progress has been made in France regarding the administrative and institutional framework within which Alzheimer's disease (AD) is managed.

An innovative therapeutic educational program to support older drivers with cognitive disorders: Description of a randomized controlled trial study protocol

open access: yesFrontiers in Neurology, 2022
Older drivers face the prospect of having to adjust their driving habits because of health problems, which can include neurocognitive disorders. Self-awareness of driving difficulties and the interaction between individual with neurocognitive disorders ...

High-CMRR CMOS current output stage

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2003
A novel current-mode output stage is presented which achieves high CMRR owing to an auxiliary high-gain feedback loop. Compared to the traditional solution, an approximately doubled transconductance is also obtained. SPICE simulations using the model parameters of a 0.8 µm CMOS process are found in remarkable agreement with expected results.

A multicenter cohort study to investigate the factors associated with functional autonomy change in patients with cognitive complaint or neurocognitive disorders: the MEMORA study protocol

open access: yesBMC Geriatrics, 2019
Background The identification of factors associated with functional impairment, in particular those which are potentially modifiable, may help to delay the advanced stages of functional dependence in patients with neurocognitive disorders such as ...

Proposition of a corrected measure of the Lawton instrumental activities of daily living score

open access: yesBMC Geriatrics, 2021
Background We aimed to propose a correction of the Lawton instrumental activity of daily living (IADL) score to take into account the possibility to have never done some activities, and measured its agreement and reliability with the usual IADL score ...
