Photoelasticity of CNGS crystals

Applied Optics, 2023
All piezo-optic coefficients (POCs) and elasto-optic coefficients (ELOCs) of Ca3NbGa3Si2O14 (CNGS) and Ca3TaGa3Si2O14 (CTGS) trigonal crystals of the langasite group are determined from quantum mechanical calculations based on the hybrid density functional theory, as implemented in the CRYSTAL program.

CNG channel-related retinitis pigmentosa

Vision Research, 2023
The genes CNGA1 and CNGB1 encode the alpha and beta subunits of the rod CNG channel, a ligand-gated cation channel whose activity is controlled by cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP). Autosomal inherited mutations in either of the genes lead to a progressive rod-cone retinopathy known as retinitis pigmentosa (RP).

Comparative Study of Unregulated Emissions on a Heavy Duty CNG Engine using CNG & Hydrogen Blended CNG as Fuels

SAE International Journal of Engines, 2016
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">One of the most promising solutions to address the twin problems of transport related pollution and energy security is to use alternative fuels. Compressed Natural gas (CNG) has been widely used in India to address the menace of pollution from commercial vehicles in cities like ...

SS: CNG Transportation Technology in 2009, Marine CNG - Why hasn't it happened?

Offshore Technology Conference, 2009
Abstract Marine Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is a technology that has evolved to a point where technical challenges no longer pose a hurdle to project development. The Class Societies have provided guidance and rules that allow for ship construction, and the proponents have completed the testing and certification ...

CNGS neutrino beam: the MODULAr project

Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2009
The MODULAr project is considering the opportunity for a new off-axis CNGS neutrino beam with the aim of improving the knowledge of ν μ → ν e θ 13 mixing angle by nearly an order of magnitude with respect to T2K expectations. A ∼ 20 kt liquid Argon TPC detector could be installed shallow-depth at the Gran Sasso, following the modular ...
