Interference Management Scheme for Co-channel Femtocells
In this paper an adaptive power control for co-channel femtocells in presented. In order to avoid co-channel interference, the femtocells have to sense the presence of macro users in the surrounding environment. Interference is avoided through applying adaptive power control on the femtocell downlink.

On co-channel interference measurements
Proceedings of 8th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications - PIMRC '97, 2002The spectral efficiency of a cellular mobile radio system is enhanced through the reuse of the available spectrum. The resulting co-channel interference, however, also limits the system capacity. Power control is needed so that co-channel interference can be maintained within a tolerable bound.

Co-Channel Interference Cancellation in OFDMA System
2020 21st Asia-Pacific Network Operations and Management Symposium (APNOMS), 2020This paper proposes a co-channel interference (CCI) reduction scheme for cell edge users in OFDM systems using same frequency. The proposed scheme includes a joint channel-estimation method with interpolated sliding window (JCE-ISW) and a joint detection with QRM-MLD based on the maximum interference selection cancellation (QRM-MLD-MIS C). The proposed

Impact of MIMO Co-Channel Interference
2007 IEEE 18th International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2007In a real cellular system, existence of a number of multi-antenna schemes in neighboring cells means that different multi-antenna schemes will experience Co-Channel Interference (CCI) from the same or other multi-antenna schemes. In this work, we have summarized our analysis and simulations related to cellular interference of some specific Multiple ...

Enhanced interference whitening for co-channel interference suppression
2013 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking Conference (WCNC), 2013The co-channel interference (CCI) has become a major throughput-limiting factor for cell-edge users in the modern cellular systems such as the Long Term Evolution (LTE) network. Spatial interference whitening (IW) is an effective low-complexity linear method to suppress colored spatial interference in a MIMO setup.

Co-Channel Interference in Future Femtocell Networks
2015 IEEE 82nd Vehicular Technology Conference (VTC2015-Fall), 2015In this short paper, we present an analysis for co- channel interference between femtocell (FC) downlink transmissions in a purely homogeneous femtocell type network. We assume no direct coordination between FCs since, as of Release 12, no low-latency links are provided for intra-cell communication.

Effect of co-channel interference in MARC system
2017 25th Signal Processing and Communications Applications Conference (SIU), 2017In this study, the error performance analysis of decode and forward (DF) based multiple access relay channel (MARC) system model is investigated for binary phase shift keying (BPSK) modulation when there is co-channel interference effects at relay node and maximum likelihood (ML) approach is used at destination node.

Mitigation of Co-Channel Interference in Bluetooth Piconets
IEEE Transactions on Wireless Communications, 2012In this letter, we consider the mitigation of co-channel interference in Bluetooth piconets. Prior to sending packets, the proposed scheme checks whether the next channel for the frequency hopping (FH) is in use by other signals or not. Then, it periodically detects busy channels subject to WLAN interference based on the packet error rate and ...

Practical testing of GSM co-channel interference
10th International Conference on Telecommunications, 2003. ICT 2003., 2003As classical test methods using an ordinary phone do not enable one to distinguish primary from secondary signals. The concepts and basic signal analysis of measuring co-channel interfering signals by means of a drive test system, are reviewed. A set of recommended typical measurements is recommended, and practical measurements results are presented ...

Effect of Co-Channel Interference on CPSK Carriers
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1973This paper investigates the problem of estimating the effects of interference to a coherent phase-shift-keyed (CPSK) digital carrier. Paralleling Saltzberg [1], the principal tool utilized is the CramerChernoff bounding technique. The interference effects can be characterized by equating the larger interferers to an equivalent coherent canceling sine ...
