Co-fired magnetoelectric transformer

Applied Physics Letters, 2014
In this study, we demonstrate a co-fired magnetoelectric (ME) laminate consisting of piezoelectric/magnetostrictive/piezoelectric layers with unipoled piezoelectric transformer structure. The ME transformer was characterized by quantifying the voltage gain variation and resonance frequency shift as a function of applied DC magnetic field.

Optimization of Co-Firing Burners

Journal of Thermal Science and Engineering Applications, 2016
At present, unless a boiler is especially designed to burn biomass, the levels of co-firing are generally limited to around 5% by mass. Higher levels of substitution sometimes lead to burner instability and other issues. In order to co-fire higher concentrations of biomass, a technique is required which can monitor flame stability at the burner level ...

Co-fired piezoelectric multilayer transformers

ISAF '96. Proceedings of the Tenth IEEE International Symposium on Applications of Ferroelectrics, 2002
The advantages of multilayer piezoelectric transformers (MLTs) over wire-wound types are described. The applicability of MLTs is shown for LCD-backlight, including the voltage transformation and the power characteristics. Attention is paid to modelling and designing of these products.

Biomass co-firing potentials for electricity generation in Poland—Matching supply and co-firing opportunities

Biomass and Bioenergy, 2008
As part of the European Union (EU) accession treaty, Poland is obliged to increase the share of renewable electricity production to 7.5% by 2010 (from a present share of about 2% in 2002). Most of this increase is expected to be covered by biomass-based electricity generation.

Co-firing of Low- and Middle Permittivity Dielectric Tapes in Low-Temperature Co-fired Ceramics

MRS Proceedings, 2005
AbstractCompatibility in cofiring low-κ and middle-κ based on a same glass composition for the hybrid LTCC material systems was investigated. Designing of appropriate lithium borosilicate glass frit systems allowed us to develop an optimized glass frit system used for low-κ and middle-κ dielectric fillers, commonly. The effects of glass addition on the

Biofuel co-firing with inferential sensor

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2012
Abstract Renewable energy sources are playing an increasingly important role in reducing the emission of greenhouse gases, with biomass providing the largest carbon dioxide reduction potential when it replaces coal as the dominant fuel in large scale heat and electricity production.
