A charge‐transfer‐engineered Ni catalyst derived from an atomically mixed layered precursor enables efficient ammonia‐to‐hydrogen conversion. Cr‐to‐Ni electron transfer creates electron‐rich Ni active sites that favor NH3 adsorption, modify the dehydrogenation energetics, and weaken N2 binding to facilitate product desorption. This electronically tuned

Restoring Pre-Industrial CO2 Levels While Achieving Sustainable Development Goals
Unless humanity achieves United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030 and restores the relatively stable climate of pre-industrial CO2 levels (as early as 2140), species extinctions, starvation, drought/floods, and violence will exacerbate

In this study, we developed a cost‐efficient neural probe by replacing traditional gold with an aluminum‐based Ti/Al/Ni multilayer stack. Optimizing this metal architecture suppressed oxidation and ensured robust electrical stability, achieving signal quality comparable to standard gold probes. It enables a highly accessible and economical solution for

Abstract The rapid growth of AI data centers (AIDCs) is intensifying stress on power systems and exposing operators to volatile electricity markets. This work develops a process‐informed co‐optimization framework that integrates liquid air energy storage (LAES) with AIDC operation. Unlike black‐box storage models, the proposed formulation captures LAES

HeaTrace: A Parametric Design‐to‐Fabrication Workflow for Thermally Programmable Soft Robots
A programmable thermal actuation workflow enables soft robots to be designed and fabricated with embedded heaters that drive multiple responses. By combining performance‐driven heater design with multimaterial fabrication, the system supports thermally triggered shape change, stiffness tuning, and thermochromic visual response, as demonstrated through ...

Vulnerability of Industrial Components to Soil Liquefaction
Dynamic liquefaction of saturate loose sand deposit is a common geotechnical failure effect caused by an earthquake, which can lead to structural damage of buildings, lifelines and industrial components in general. Several damage cases have been observed

Study on co-liquefaction of coal and bagasse by factorial experiment design method
Abstract Co-liquefaction of a Chinese bituminous coal with bagasse — a biomass waste — has been carried out in an autoclave of 300-ml capacity at a temperature range of 350–450°C, reaction time 15–45 min and cool hydrogen pressure 300–700 psig (2.04–4.76 MPa). The addition of baggasse and tetralin are beneficial to liquefaction.
